Group Exercise Works Miracles

There's nothing like getting together with other DHP members who have the same fitness and lifestyle goals as you and getting hot and sweaty.

Our group exercise classes keep you pumped and motivated and are a social fun way to keep moving.

Have you tried our GBTs (Guns Bums and Tums) class yet? This is a class totally developed to address those problem areas and get you in the best shape for summer. Great for those who aren’t self-motivated to train on their own.

Or Spin and Core conditioning is something we all need. Try this half hour of cycle and half hour core conditioning class. Easy to follow cycle class that finishes with a half hour core program targeting the deep core muscles through a variety of different exercises using stability balls, bands and body weight. No running or jumping.

At Dolphins Health Precinct we love exercise variety. That’s why you will find an extensive range of group exercise classes on our timetable. There are 65 classes a week from land to aquatic programs. There’s no chance of boredom. Collect your timetable at reception or look on our website for more information.

Dolphins Swim Club - A GREAT Night!

This Friday Night!

Friday night is FUN night at Dolphins Health Precinct. It offers swimmers the chance to compete and improve their personal best times as well as offering an environment for families to meet and socialise. The yummy BBQ is a great excuse for you have a night off cooking duties while watching your little champs having fun!

When: First Friday of the month

Time: Races from 6.00pm

Cost: $5/student (includes races and sausage sizzle)

Club Nights are open to past and present Learn to Swim families of DHP. The event commences at 6pm sharp and are finished by 7.30pm. A Club BBQ will be on during this time.

Creche Parents - Enjoy Date Night!

 Dinky Dolphins parents can avoid the Valentine’s Day crowds and celebrate Valentine’s Day for the month of February! 

Parents Date Night starts Wednesday 5^th February

(From 5pm to 7.30pm Monday to Thursday Evenings.) 

You’ll need to register your child/children at Dinky Dolphins Crèche in advance. You can then simply drop them off and treat yourself to dinner at our Leagues Club Bistro, Koopa Café or our One Eyed Dolphin (there’s a great special on Wednesday & Thursday nights!) 

Times and age requirements vary so bookings are essential. 

2 BIG Weeks of School Holiday Fun!

Dinky Dolphins Activities for September School Holidays 

(Sep 23rd – Oct 4th) 

Week One

Mr Toot Clown Show + Circus Workshop 

Tuesday 24th September | 9am-12pm (Duration 3 hrs) 

This will include a variety clown show with Mr Toot and ‘Charlie the puppet’ who does his own amazing magic tricks, fun illusions and plenty of laughs with audience participation. On offer will be a variety of colourful face painting choices, these will guarantee very happy faces with Ester. Mr Toot will be creating fun balloons, some of the popular balloon choices are flowers, dinosaurs, motorbikes and dolphins. Very exciting for children to watch. This is all before the Circus workshop where the children get to join in on the fun and learn how to juggle with scarves and balls, try making their own balloon animal or using the dress up box to become their own imaginative character of their choice. 

Performances are fun and age appropriate for both girls and boys, with a focus on interaction, laughter, coordination and the building of self esteem. 

$15 first child ($12 each sibling)

Mini Chefs Cooking Classes

Thursday 26th September | 9.30am - 11.30am (Duration 2 hrs)

The children will dress up like mini chefs and get to experience hands on cooking. They will get to make their own individual pizzas with all the choices being their own before getting creative 

And designing their own charlotte cake. From spatulas to spoons this event will not be forgotten with their own yummy lunch prepared and a happy snap shot and Chef Outfit to take home. 

$10 first child ($8 each sibling) 

Sports Carnival Fun Day 

Friday 27th September | 9.30am - 11.30am (Duration 2 hrs)

Games and activities will be prepared for example egg and spoon races, potato sack races, relays, parachute play etc. 

$6 first child ($4 each sibling) 

Week Two 

Wildlife Meet, Greet + Interact Show 

Tuesday 1st October | 10am (Duration 1 hr)

The children will get to meet, interact and learn about 12-15 different native animals. Getting up close and personal with these animals is a rare occasion so very exciting for the children. 

The children’s curiosity about the native animals will be made alive as they come face to face with Possums, bandicoots and small kangaroos. Along with some reptiles snakes, lizards and crocodiles. 

$10 first child ($8 each sibling) 

Wet & Wild Day + Jumping Water Slide

Friday 4th October | 9.30am - 11.30am (Duration 2 hrs)

Different games and fun events will be prepared such as sponge throwing, blow up pools, flipper races, thong throwing, water balloons, sprinkler, slip and slide

Every year Dolphins acknowledge a set of service standards “S.W.I.M” – Service Will Inspire Magic.

This year we had a total of 8 staff members that were presented these awards and 2 staff members came under Dolphins Health Precinct. Our very own Personal Trainer Ryan Andrews and Customer Service Team Leader Danielle O’Connor. Dolphins General Manager Tony Murphy presented the awards.

Congratulations to Ryan and Danielle, these awards were much deserved.

It's Christmas Party Time at DHP!

It's Christmas time at Dinky Dolphins Crèche and Wednesday 19th December we are offering fun and games from 12.00pm.

There will be games, gifts and the big jolly man in the red suit will even drop in before he shoots off around the world to share his festive joy. Tickets are only $8 and can be purchased from DHP Reception.

We will also be having a Christmas BBQ break-up at Dolphins Health Precinct for DHP & Learn to Swim Members, so be sure to drop in early at 11.30am to grab some food before the kids get swept away in the sleigh to have some fun.

NEW Personal Trainer for DHP

DOLPHINS forward Tom Murphy practises what he preaches. A fitness fanatic, Tom has taken on a position as a personal trainer at Dolphins Health Precinct. 

In his first season with the Dolphins in 2012 after joining from Canberra Raiders, Tom stood out with his enthusiasm and work rate, playing hooker and backrow with the grand finalists. “During the season I studied for my certificate three and four in fitness,” Tom said. “I started at DHP about a month ago and am loving it. “I deal with all ages and types of people and this is a great opportunity to change someone’s life forever. “I really enjoy the health and fitness aspects and this ties in so well with my football career. They go hand in hand.” Tom said he was learning a lot about the industry from Aaron Wheeler, who is in charge of the personal trainers and is also the Dolphins’ strength and condition coach. “DHP has about 2000 members and will keep growing because of the firstclass facilities and the staff operating it,” Tom said. “I am already finding that I am starting to build up my client base.”
